1. Choose your paper
Select US Letter for 8.5 × 11 inch sheets, or A4 for 210 × 297 mm sheets. Both formats have their own downloadable PDF. Matching the file to the paper avoids unnecessary shrinking. The site defaults to Letter for its primary US audience; A4 is available on every tool.
2. Choose the type size
Large-print word-search PDFs use 18-point grid letters and 16-point word-bank entries; standard uses 14-point letters and 12-point words. Large Sudoku uses 24-point numbers and standard uses 20-point numbers. These sizes apply to the downloaded PDF at 100%, not to a browser preview resized to fit your screen.
3. Download or print
Download PDF saves a two-page file to your device. Page 1 is the puzzle and page 2 is the solution. In a PDF viewer, choose Actual size or 100% and inspect the preview. If you prefer Print puzzle + answer in the browser, the website hides navigation and controls automatically. Turn off browser headers and footers for a cleaner page.
4. Keep the answers separate
To avoid seeing the solution while you work, print only page 1 or use single-sided printing. Every sheet carries the seed and generator version so you can pair it with its answer. Avoid accidentally reusing an answer from a different seed or word-search direction setting.
If a page clips or looks small
Confirm the file and printer use the same paper size. Restore 100% scale, turn off multiple-pages-per-sheet and check printer margins. Browser print support can vary; try the PDF route if a browser adds unexpected page breaks. We have not physically tested every printer, so its preview is the final check for your equipment.
