Write one letter in each outlined square. Across entries read left to right and Down entries read from top to bottom. The number in a starting square matches a numbered clue. A letter at a crossing belongs to both words.
Default example ready: 3 pages, including matching answers.

Begin with a clue you recognise, count its squares, and pencil in the answer. Use the crossing letters to help with another clue. The number in parentheses is the answer length. These are free-form themed crosswords: some letters are not crossed by a second entry.
The grid, clue list and answer are separate pages so neither the lettering nor the clues need to be squeezed. Larger print uses bigger grid letters and clue text; it may add a continuation page. Print the page range for the puzzle and clues if you want to leave the answer behind.
All 72 clues were written for this collection. The subjects are kitchen tools, gardening, music, travel, the coast and the workshop. The seed rearranges a complete chosen set of entries; it does not change their clues or silently drop a word.
The answer pages identify every entry by its number and direction. Match the seed to the grid you printed.
Choose the paper size that matches your printer and use Actual size or 100 percent. Check the preview for margins and page breaks. Read the print guide or contact us about a puzzle issue.
