Fill the runs in the order shown, with at least one empty square between neighbouring runs. A clue of 3, 2 means three filled squares, a gap of at least one square, then two filled squares. A 0 means the entire line is empty.

Begin with a row or column whose runs occupy most of the line. Compare the earliest and latest positions a run could occupy: their shared squares must be filled. Mark confirmed empty squares with X, then return to crossing lines with the new information.
The bold lines divide the 10 by 10 grid into five-square sections for counting. Every pattern has one checked completion. These are abstract pattern studies, so there is no promised hidden animal or object to guess.
The number clues, filled pattern and unique answer are generated together on your device. New puzzle produces another pattern within a bounded generation process. Font and paper choices change the layout without changing the clue data.
The answer shows the filled squares in dark ink and leaves the others white. Check the row and column run lengths against the clues to confirm your result.
Choose the paper size that matches your printer and use Actual size or 100 percent. Check the preview for margins and page breaks. Read the print guide or contact us about a puzzle issue.
